A Breath Between Us: to Get Back to Love
Emily and David sat at opposite ends of the couch, staring at their phones, the silence between them growing heavier by the day. Conversations had become brief, filled with sighs and resentment.
One night, as Emily scrolled through an article about breathwork for connection, she read: "Sync your breath with someone you love for one minute, and see what happens."
She glanced at David. Taking a chance, she whispered, “Can we try something?”
He looked up, wary but curious. She took his hand. "Just breathe with me."
They inhaled together—slowly, deeply. Exhaled. Again. The tension didn’t dissolve instantly, but something softened. For the first time in months, they weren’t just in the same room. They were together.
That night, the arguments didn’t disappear, but a door had opened. One breath at a time, they found their way back.
